The weekend of May 16-17 will see the running of the 2026 edition of the Oregon Trail Rally in Klickitat and Wasco Counties. Various roads used by the rally will be temporarily closed to public access and traffic control signage will be in place.

Saturday, May 16th Klickitat County, Washington

• • Old Hwy 8 Rd from the intersection with Rock Creek Rd. through to the intersection with Hoctor road. Then Hoctor road from the intersection with Old Hwy 8 until it crests out on top approx. 1 mile before the substation will be closed from 8:30AM to 11:15AM and again from 11:30AM to 1:30PM
    • Because this road will be re-opened for a very short window between the two runs, we will provide escort for traffic to safely get through
  • Dalles Mountain Rd from the intersection with Oak Creek Rd. to the intersection with Uecker Rd. and Uecker Rd. from Dalles Mountain Rd. to approximately ½ mile north of the intersection with Dalles Mountain Rd. will be closed from 1:30PM to 5:00PM and again from 5:30PM to 8:15PM
  • Oak Flat Rd from Bickleton Highway to Hoctor Rd. will be closed from 12:45PM to 3:45PM and again from 4:45PM to 7:00PM
  • Maryhill Loops Rd. will be closed from 8:00AM to 1:30PM

Sunday, May 17th Wasco County, Oregon

• • Hastings Ridge Rd. approx. 2 miles south of the intersection with Fax Rd. to the intersection with Steuber Road and Steuber Road from that intersection approx. 4 miles north will be closed from 8:00AM to 11:15AM and from 12:15PM to 3:15PM
  • Fax Road from Ward Road to the intersection with Mason Road and Mason Road from Fax Road to Wrentham Market Road will be closed from from 8:30AM to 11:45PM and from 1:00PM to 4:00PM
  • Emerson Roberts Market Road from Emerson Loop Road to Fifteen Mile Road will be closed from 9:00AM to 12:15PM and from 1:30PM to 4:30PM
  • Endersby Cutoff Road from Eightmile Road to Ward Mill Road and west from that intersection on private property to Burtner road will be closed from 10:00AM to 1:00PM and from 2:00PM to 5:00PM

Other Wasco county roads traveled on Sunday, but not closed include HWY 197, Emerson Loop, Ward Rd, Wrentham Market, Boyd Market, Eightmile, Dufur Valley, Kelly Cutoff, Heimrich, NE 1st, and Main Street in Dufur.
